 I think it would be a nice quality of life improvement if you were able to
 choose where a menu item goes when you add it.

 Currently, when you want to add a menu item in the middle, you have to add
 it and move it from the bottom towards the correct position.

 Thinking out loud, add a sort of clickable line/button between the menu
 items in the appearance -> menu section that opens a list where the user
 can select which page/post/custom item to add in between the two items and
 possibly a checkbox if the user wants to add it as a child or not.
