 Support of `ext/mysql` is still a "blocker", but as we have no idea on how
 many people are using it I don't know how much of a blocker it is.

 #48116 is for adding stats that could be used to determine that.

 I'll have a think about the next steps here, I don't think `ext/mysql` is
 a hard blocker, but it certainly limits us.
