 Thanks @Clorith ! Is that the old Edge or the new webkit-based one?

 Maybe worth exploring if there's a proprietary, prefixed. `-ms-`something
 to target to hide that button.

 An a related note, also Safari displays an additional button within the
 password field. It's the "autofill" icon, but that's not a great issue.
