Comment:

 Hi,

 I thinks it can already be achieved either by using a custom Walker or
 with a plugin that could check if we are in the current page or not.

 Eventually, we could add a filter in Core to dynamically edit the URL but
 I'm not sure it's core territory.
 I'm moving this one to `maybelater`. Feel free to continue the discussion
 based on the elements I listed above :-)
