Comment:

 This is the expected behaviour when the cursor is above the drop-down
 (float panel), see #29516. This is done so we don't hide the drop-down
 when not all of it is visible in the current viewport.

 Works properly (hides the drop-down) when the cursor is not hovering over
 it. Closing as worksforme, feel free to reopen if the current behaviour
 should be changed in the classic editor.
