 When adding a site logo via the customizer and using the cropping
 function, the custom logo looses its ability to have an alt text set and
 displayed on the site.

 From what I can see this happens because the post meta for custom_logo is
 set to the new cropped image, and that image does not inherit the alt text
 from the original uploaded image.

 There is no way to set a new alt text for this cropped image through the
 media library.
