 While Github shows releases for WordPress, the API does not which is
 causing problems with automated syncing of most recent version of
 WordPress.

 https://api.github.com/repos/WordPress/WordPress/releases

 Please look into creating proper releases for this SVN sync to allow users
 to interact with Githubs API for interacting with the WordPress
 repository.
