Comment (by tobifjellner):

 The problem is probably tied to a misunderstanding in the ast translation
 at
 https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/ast/default?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=231191&sort%5Bby%5D=translation_date_added&sort%5Bhow%5D=asc

 There are (at least) two very special strings that aren't supposed to be
 translated, but rather used for localization purposes:

 {{{'tain't,'twere,'twas,'tis,'twill,'til,'bout,'nuff,'round,'cause,'em}}}
 Context: Comma-separated list of words to texturize in your language

 and

 {{{’tain’t,’twere,’twas,’tis,’twill,’til,’bout,’nuff,’round,’cause,’em}}}
 Context: Comma-separated list of replacement words in your language

 WordPress will search for matches against words in the first list and
 replace them with the corresponding position from the second list.
 Unfortunately, the first list has been merely translated (and the second
 list has been left untranslated...
