 Same problem in 5.0-RC2.

 I'm testing with the metabox from WPSSO
 https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpsso/.

 **It's working fine in all versions of Gutenberg**, including the latest,
 but not in WP 5.0.

 This affects about 15-20k users.
