 Wordpress.com exports sites in two ways, as a .zip file (full of XML
 files) or as a single XML file, depending on whether the export is done
 from Calypso or wp-admin.

 The importer is expecting a single XML file, and fails if the user tries
 to import the zip file.

 Suggestion:  Modify the importer to accept the .zip file, unzip it into
 tmp, and then import each of the included XML files.
