 I don't think it negates the benefits. As I mentioned above, the "sticky"
 option (ideally, paired with a slimmed header, not the full height header)
 was meant to be a simple one to address the issue at hand, but the
 "x-swap" design seems a more effective solution if it works as it would
 reduce complexity as well as some of the confusion.

 From the discussion above it also seem that 4 people agreed in going for
 the "x-swap" approach.

 Would be possible to test a patch with the "x-swap" design and see how it
 performs?
