Comment:

 I've got the same issue when adding mediauploader to frontend theme by
 loading it via wp_enqueue_media(); - Patch 42574.2.diff has fixed all the
 javascript errors, so I confirm that this patch works on frontend usage of
 wp_enqueue_media, too.
