 Shortcake renders all shortcodes via Ajax and therefore „sees“ the changes
 you made to the gallery shortcode.

 wp.mce.views does only replicate the gallery shortcode functionality. If
 you change the shortcode, you‘d have to manually change the JS side as
 well. Shortcake is an easier alternative in that scenario.
