 @socki03 thanks for the ticket and the patch!

 My first thought is that the function returns before running the filters
 so as to not pass data to any number of filters being added.

 I would also ask that you can confirm that this issue persists even
 without the plugin installed. There is not much core can do if the plugin
 in question is the root cause.
