 I would also much prefer that the Text widget is reverted back and renamed
 "HTML". The more I think about it, the more the current solution seems so
 backwards. Instead of simply creating a new Visual widget, we've got a
 fudged Text widget which then suggests that people use the new HTML
 widget. It's a horrific UX which does nothing to promote WordPress as
 straight forward and "user first".

 What would be the ''negative'' impact of the following actions
 @westonruter?

 1. Revert 'Text' widget to previous version.
 2. Rename 'Text' widget to 'HTML Code'.
 3. Create new 'Visual' widget using the 4.8 'Text' widget functionality.

 Is this solution on the table at the moment? Or have you decided to press
 on with the currently developed plan?
