 elements script that ships with wp 4.8. But WP does release new media
 widgets in which those reported issues are not fixed..... very frustrating
 i must say !

 Sorry you are frustrated. Issues get punted to future releases all the
 time when they miss the deadline for merge, when their patches are not
 completed and fully tested.
