 @adamsilverstein In my testing it seemed to work well - I say commit it.

 I didn't discover this directly myself, I was watching someone else
 attempt to install a theme who got confused by the previous behaviour -
 I'm going to try to do another look-over-the-shoulder test, just to ensure
 things seem right.
