 Not sure what needs to be revisited? If you'd like to disable the REST API
 to forward-facing site visitors you can use the code that @pento posted
 above which is nearly identical to the [https://developer.wordpress.org
 /rest-api/using-the-rest-api/frequently-asked-questions/#require-
 authentication-for-all-requests example found in the REST API
 documentation], or you can install the [https://wordpress.org/plugins
 /disable-json-api/ plugin that does it for you]. You just can't use the
 old `rest_enabled` filter anymore.
