 I agree "maximum version" is bad, the phrase should definitely be "tested
 up to".

 I don't think "maximum version" would _encourage_ being incompatible, but
 it does confuse users with language that suggests it's incompatible when
 it's just not tested. Clearly, and consistently informing users should be
 the highest priority here. We're try to reduce their anxiety about
 updating things, not increase it.

 This was brilliant idea 4 years ago...  still is. If "tested up to" is not
 included so be it, a minimum at minimum though is dearly needed.
