Comment (by rianrietveld):

I've installed the plugin and it's really good work, as a coder I like it
 very much.

To give my personal points of view from "accessibility hell":
 - a code editor is a very valuable functionality to add to WordPress core
 - it has accessibility issues for screen reader users
 - there must be an option to turn if off until CM had been made accessible
 - it can be an opt-out (IMHO), because it's not an essential part of using
WordPress as a CMS for regular (non coding) users

 This will be important because:
 - many blind people are professional WordPress developers, let's not make
 their job harder.
 - for WordPress to be taken serious by governments and bigger companies
the Admin needs to be fairly accessible.
 - we agreed on the accessibility code standards, saying: we add this and
fix later is agains our own coding standards.
 - and seriously: is adding one opt-out checkbox such a big deal here?

Note: if the Codemirror is going to be implemented in the text editor for
posts, then it has to be an opt-in, because that is an essential part of
 WP' s functionality.

So as a summary: I'm all for it, but add away to disable it by the user.
