 I'd propose to change colors of the highlighted options, for accessibility
 the color contrast ratio should be at least 4.5:1. White text on a
 `#0073aa` background (the default WP blue for links) could be an option.

 Note: the changes proposed in #27555 should be coordinated with this
 ticket. Maybe better to merge this first and then refresh #27555.
