 Any chance this can be wrapped in a separate function called `wp_media()`
 the same way the TinyMCE editor is wrapped in `wp_editor()`?

 This way, WordPress core and plugin developers can use this function in
 Widgets, in Meta-Boxes, Setting Pages and other places. A separate
 function can be used as a new method to include the WordPress media
 component.
