 @johnbillion [attachment:36356.2.diff] incorporates my second comment
 above about simplfying matters by using placeholder schemes and hosts as a
 matter of course.

 @jrf I've looked over the spec and can't find anything about query
 parameters beginning with `&`, are you able to send a pointer.

 Somewhat complicated by the fact another part of the build is failing, I
 get consistent results at https://travis-
