 While working on Shiny Updates I noticed this bloated UI as well and I
 think "Update Now" and "Re-install now" should be the only options.

 > For those users who do use it, we should probably be offering a link to
 the release post (or similar) there instead.

 We already show a "View version xy details" link for plugin updates, so
 the same could probably be done for core too.
