 Created a demo plugin [https://github.com/barryceelen/datepicker3000]
 which adds a date meta box to the post edit screen.

 Adding `get_option( 'date_format' )` to `$datepicker_args` won't cut it
 though as jQuery UI uses a different format
 http://api.jqueryui.com/datepicker/#option-dateFormat.
