 Great work here @adamsilverstein!

 This changed in Underscore.js 1.7. `_.flatten()` working with objects was
 an unintended side-affect of the implementation, see
 [https://github.com/jashkenas/underscore/issues/1904#issuecomment-60241576
 underscore#1904].
