 The approach @karinchristen posted is what we discussed during WCEU
 contributors day. There was a lot of discussion around this, sketches, and
 ultimately this solution that I'm 100% behind – it removes the confusion
 to what the comment bubble number means (by having a total in there), and
 provides a very explicit set of actionable information (that is more
 accessible, easy for translation, etc).

 Props to the fresh newcomers involved in the discussion: @karinchristen,
 @shortied, and @aliyanage :)
