 I don't think they're mutually exclusive, but I think one can surpass the
 other very quickly in usefulness.

 For example, I expect that any plugin using a third party update script
 will set this flag too - Why? Because it's the only way for them to opt-
 out of updates when their plugin is disabled (or their updater code
 breaks.. which happens).

 I agree that there are a lot of plugins on sites that are never going to
 have updater support and are 100% site specific; I understand that's where
 your thought process is here - but it just seems redundant IMHO to
 eventually have two fields which do somewhat of the same thing, but not
 really.

 That all being said, I'm really still +1 for this, because we need some
 kind of solution for this sort of mess :)
