 +1 for a better solution. This broke a lot of client sites for us, and
 plugins like Toolset's Views that rely on shortcodes outside of the Visual
 Editor are seriously affected. The issue with double quotes inside double
 quotes not being supported is understandable, but allowing the usage of
 shortcodes inside HTML attributes should be a supported use case.
