 If it's in the url all the better. Plus, you get the archive links to work
 by simply removing the post name, and then the day, month and year.

 An interesting point to make with the ease of locating date based archives
 by manually adjusting the URL in the address bar, this would definitely be
 of use if the site's current theme provides a `date.php` template to
 emphasize that distinction.

 Although the changes are already in place (I've been using "Month and
 name" for almost as long as this ticket has been open) I still may switch
 back; but, I am willing to give it at least a week or two to see what
 happens to traffic flow on my sites.
