Comment:

 Tested [attachment:29492.2.patch] and as far as I can tell, it doesn't
 work :-)

 I suppose maybe I'm not sure what I should expect. Currently, placing the
 cursor in the Visual editor and switching to Text it seems the cursor
 isn't anywhere to be found, and switching back to Visual the cursor is at
 the end of the post.

 I can see the merit in trying to do this, but I'm not sure it's worth
 spending the bandwidth to try to get it to work.
