helps with discoverability of being able to collapse the pane. And I like
being able to go full-screen via the grabber, and so enter into the mobile
preview experience where the Preview button appears to toggle between
controls and the preview, as long as the grabber snaps to the right side
at a point where the width of the preview is too small to be useful.

My main issue is that it doesn't feel predictable. It's fairly unexpected.
When you're using Ubuntu or Windows and use dragging to snap a window to
the left or the right, a box appears to indicate what is about to happen.
We could maybe try something similar. Find a way to show it's about to
collapse or that it will collapse if let go at a certain place.

I'd keep a clickable (and tappable) collapse/fullscreen target around.
Will dragging be possible on a touch screen?
