 Right now, if you set custom pages for "front page" and "posts page" in
 settings, there are no markings on the page list view that denotes you
 these as special pages.

 I've seen other systems add small text to the title to denote that it is
 currently set as "front page". I believe it would make for a better UX if
 WordPress did something similar.
