 The behavior you were seeing from document.location.href is "correct" (the
 source of the entire bug/dispute with jQuery UI) and directly related to
 the issue my patch resolved.

 I agree with your concerns about the use of `base`, `document.write()`
 etc. though I intentionally avoided using jQuery as a dependency for the
 same reason.
