 Thanks for the report AlexPaulC.

 Unfortunately we had to revert this change because of problems with
 reverse proxies. See #29708.

 I'm going to close this as wontfix in favour of #27954. I think making
 this behaviour opt-in is the only option and I'll hopefully look at it in
 4.2.
