FWIW I've been trying to configure a brand new site to use `utf8mb4` but
I'm still hitting the 767 byte key length issue when installing. Running
MySQL 5.5.37 and configuration as per [http://pento.net/2014/04/07
 /wordpress-and-utf-8/ Pento's handy guide], and the `innodb_large_prefix`
setting is definitely `ON` so I'm a bit stumped.

Switching an existing site to `utf8mb4` appears to have worked fine, it's
the fresh install that's not happy.
