#28588: Gallery appearence in the editor

The new gallery placeholder that shows thumbnail images in the editor is a
great improvement upon the previous look. However this new look does tend
to confuse new comers to Wordpress. By looking at it, it is not apparent
that these images belong to a gallery, and even if it is understood, it is
not obvious how to edit or delete the gallery. Secondly if there are two
galleries back to back in the editor, it is not obvious where the first
ends and the second begins without the need to click.

I propose that the grey box and the two icons stay active at all times.
This will show that the images are in fact grouped together in a gallery
and will visibily show how to easily edit or delete them. If this is not
possible in the way the WYSIWYG editor is built there needs to be some
sort of alternative to show the edit buttons without a click of the
 images.
