Comment:

 This seems like plugin territory. The majority of users probably won't
 need this option, and it's just asking for users to accidentally hit it
 and lose their changes. It would also add a lot of UI cruft, especially if
 done on a granular section-by-section basis.

 Color controls have this feature already, and I think any other controls
 where this would be necessary could implement something similar
 themselves. Doesn't seem particularly necessary for core things like site
 title & tagline, Widgets, headers/backgrounds, front page, etc.

 I also think users are okay with and understand to just reload the page or
 close the Customizer without saving if they want to reset all changes made
 in the current session.
