Comment:

 It doesn't actually matter what your screen size is - it's more the
 relative length of the slider itself, so you can find them "disconnected"
 at much smaller sizes as well. That said, though - the slider handle has
 arrows on it already. I think it's pretty clear what it's for. The buttons
 are not descriptive helpers for the slider, they are an alternate method
 of navigation. You may need to orient yourself to the screen the first
 couple times you use it, but that is okay.
