 I don't see why not. However that should run as soon as the JS file is
 loaded, not on DOM ready.

 The old AtD plugin is not compatible with TinyMCE 4.0. It still adds the
 button: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/after-the-
 deadline/tags/0.49008/after-the-deadline.php#L74 but cannot build the
 replacement words menu. AtD in Jetpack was updated and works well in 4.0.
