Hello guys, I created a child theme using accesspress lite template and
everything works great and I've been able to make changes to the css style
sheet successfully. It has taken me a little bit of work and time but I've
been able to do it. I love working with a child theme and having the
flexibility to make changes without being affected by any updates.
 Here is the website: http://www.baconsfurniture-blog.com/

Now, my only issue at the time is adding functions to my child theme. I
want to start with something simple:

I want to add a link to the header text (this one is located right above
 the search bar)

Can anyone help me accomplish this?

 I appreciate the help.

 Thanks
