 Using WP 4.1 beta2

 Upon installing a theme that is tried & true in all prev versions of WP
 (U-Design), getting white screen of death on plugins... some are required
 by the theme.

 Plugins Installed:
 Admin Dashboard Site Notes
 All in One SEO Pack
 Complete Central Backup
 Envato Wordpress Toolkit
 Flickr-rss
 Get the Image
 JS Composer
 P3 Profiler
 Revslider
 udesign shortcode insert button
 Wordfence
 wp page navi
 wp125

 Fixes tried:
 In phpmyadmin, changed in table: wp_options, the field active_plugins to:
 a:0:{}
 Only worked randomly. Tried to re-install theme, didn't work.
 So, in FTP, renamed plugins folder to plugins_old

 Seems to be working... but several plugins are required by the theme, so
 full functionality is not yet established.
