 Discussion in IRC makes me sad too :-(

 Language packs should be updated only when APPROVED by user. We can select
 plugins and themes to update, so why we HAVE TO update all language packs?

 Localhost (SVN) should be removed from overwriting files by automatic
 updates.

 How can new system handle following situation? Frontend 100%,
 Administration 90%, Multisite 10%. What will be distributed to users? Now
 we can make a package, About page and some Help text were in English and
 all users were happy. And now? Only frontend file will be distributed?
 Then it is a regression because 90% of administration strings will be
 missing...
