 On further reflection, I'm not entirely sure why it isn't being caught by
 our [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/src/wp-includes/wp-
 db.php?rev=28022#L1560 existing query-type handling].

 Mark, are there any particular unit tests that are consistently breaking
 here?
