 I see, so is there no fallback for browsers which don't handle this
 correctly then? - if it also happens in iOS, surely it's worth
 considering?

 Further more is there anything I can do in CSS to prevent this from
 happening as I can create a browser Stylesheet.

 It's just my browser has too many useful features which I can't give up by
 going to one of the more "mainstream" ones.
