Comment (by jorhett):

And again we are arguing about things that nobody said.

Nobody has ever once said that we should change the login url for sites
who didn't expect their URL to be changed. To have both of you jumping up
saying this "unexpected" change would break sites... total nonsense.

And how exactly would changing the admin URL *NOT* work for sites to
protect them from botnets? You're making this claim but you have no
justification for it. If the botnet does not know where the login page is,
it cannot succeed in breaking in. How exactly would a 100k or even 1m
botnet discover this information remotely? We are not discussing DDoS, we
 are discussing breakins.

Finally, I find it deeply interesting that while I promote specific
technical solutions, you stand up for knutsp - who spews nonsense and
personal insults. Why exactly do you prefer personal attacks in your
forum, and dislike discussing technical solutions?

Can we please discuss actual technical solutions? I grow very weary of
people with no experience fighting botnets making statements with no
technical justification that fly in the face of all facts.
