Comment:

 Although it is true that we can add some paragraphs through widgets, the
 main purpose of the narrow sidebar is a kind of utility sidebar, not so
 much to "read" stuff.

 Having said that, I attached a patch bumps up the font size slightly in
 the sidebar and gives more contrast against the black background color for
 better legibility.
