 1. Start a new post
 2. click the screen options button
 3. can't toggle the display of comments or versions for the edit screen as
 they are not displayed as part of the options

 The way I understand it the sceer option are associated with a user and
 not a port, but the current implementation forces the user to "hunt" for
 an appropriate post in order to be able to change the setting.

 In addition, comments is off by default which makes it harder to discover
 the functionality.
