 @markoheijnen, I added a patch for your plugin to get SSL support. I have
 chosen to add a options array to the interface for `connect()` but I'm not
 sure if this is the right way to go about it. We can also just have the
 classes themselves read directly from defined constants instead of getting
 them passed in. (The legacy mysql client does this for feature flags.)
