 In 23295-13.patch:
 - Replace the Close button with an always visible "X" icon in the
 top/right corner. If a user closes the modal without logging in, it will
 open again on the next check.
 - Do the checks every 3 min by default.
 - Add `wp_auth_check_interval` filter so the interval can be set from PHP.
